What do you think how this will impact Xi moving forward?  Russia's failure in making a dent in pursuing its strategy other than causing mayhem in Ukraine and the backlash has disproportionately crippled its own economy.  Putin underestimated the resolve of the Nato alliance and the Ukranian people at the same time the vast reach of the Anglosphere soft power is in full display causing worldwide condemnation of the invasion.  Sure, we can say it is hyprocisy as the US did the same thing to several countries in the past causing hundreds of thousands of lives and nobody gave a sh44t.

Perhaps Xi's hard power projection is harder to pursue that he thought.  A move that I vehemently disagree.
