Though I think as time goes on and Taiwan's chances of surviving a war growing slimmer, Taiwan giving China a reason for war will become less and less likely, and China eventually having to manufacture an artificial casus belli will become more and more likely.Taiwan is key to China's expansion into the rest of the Pacific. Its geostrategic location makes its reacquisition by China an essentially foregone conclusion. It's just a matter of when and how.
