Chinese didn't know any better back then, but Americans do now, and yet the number of drug addicts in the US far surpasses that of China despite China having a far greater population. Clearly not only do you not know addiction, you also don't know history. China was in the world's leading edge science and tech wise right up until the Renaissance, so that if you posed your moronic assertion say in the 14th century, you would be totally unable to find enough evidence to bathe yourself in the sh1t and piss of self-loathing, and would have to wait another few centuries for this to be possible. As for why China was ahead and then Europe forged ahead, there are numerous legitimate reasons for why these things occurred, none of them having anything to do with stupid Chinese or smart Americans. You also seem to retardedly associate "arrogant complacency" with stupidity without having the foggiest clue that they are not the same things.
And of course your claims about TCM are made from a position of near total ignorance, with you clearly having no idea that some TCM treatments have already been statistically validated by modern scientific methods. This is why more modern research into TCM is entirely useful, to see what wheat can be separated from the chaff, whereas if China was led by you we would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
