There are smart people from both America and China. 

I've met plenty of Chinese people who have "out of the box" thinking (and straight from China - HK, Mainland, TW). I've also met plenty of smart Americans. 

I've also met tons of straight in-the-box thinking Americans. You know, the kind who are just... basic. Superstitious or not, they are just lacking and care more about some trivial sh1t than anything else.

Ethnic Chinese across the globe are > 1.4 BILLION. Population of America is 323MM. You are definitely going to meet more Chinese basic b1tches than Americans - its pure statistics.

But to say China lacks ingenuity, grit, creativity? What, we're all supposedly to blindly listen to whatever Americans say and be content? We're supposed to be happy with that?

They've simply had a headstart, but that gap is closing - and its not all through copy/pasting into China. Being able to adapt, and use all resources available to them - I call that working smarter, nothing wrong with that for now. Once they hit a ceiling, they'll start to pivot. WeChat, Weibo, etc - they've all grown into something more than "Facebook Clone","Twitter Clone" and that's a fact.

I get where you're frustrated Corsair - there definitely A LOT of basic Chinese b1tches, like IQ88 et al. It's fcking terrible - but what're you going to do except strive to not be basic? :)

PS - Also I think IQ88 and the retard squad's moved onto reddit/r/sino. Can someone confirm? It's annoying seeing their stupid sh1t with no one to call them out anymore. Anyone else on there?
