to pick it up and run with it. Or not. It's not like they can actually tell anyone to publish any piece of information; if they did, that attempt would immediately become news itself. By and large what the US media publishes is a reflection of American opinion itself. CNN and MSNBC publish what the Left wants to hear, and Fox publishes what the Right wants to hear.
