In the past, there was always resentment towards America, and they were the indispensable nation.Today, there is still this resentment towards America, but they are no longer the indispensable nation.
The Belt Road Initiative, shows that any country can find financing and buy rather decent tech or advanced tech from the Chinese. In the old days, that was only available from the West.
Guess that means America must do more to win hearts and minds, other than participating in various wars around the globe.
