Government institutions had been instructed to ditch US IT hardware and software since 2019. Now words are the policy will be extended to education and health care sector, with RMB 1.6 trillion allotted to education sector and RMB 1.7 trillion allotted to health care sector to replace their IT infrastructure. To be implemented over the next three years nation wide, Actually not just US IT hardware, all to be replaced by domestic IT hardware and software. IMO financial sector should also be included. Now accessing Windows from Cloud likely won't be needed as MS Office to be replaced by WPS, meaning all China's document format will not use MS format anymore. That's the way to go.
