Don't buy the western propaganda that wolf warrior diplomacy is a failure. The geopolitics has changed with the rise of trump. Keep your head down work well when the west only attack China rhetorically. But when the west start attacking China physically, through tariff and blockade, keeping your head down isn't an option anymore.

Have you observed that since China used this wolf warrior diplomacy, dolly lama hasn't travelled much? It raised the stake for other nations to cross China. Unless their own national interests are threatened, hardly any nation want to provoke China needlessly.

Wolf warrior diplomacy is just a first step IMHO. The next step is wolf warrior foreign policy, where there will be action rather than just rhetorical statements like today. I think China still hasn't decided to evolve to that, but when the west keep pushing China, China may not have the choice but to evolve. Wolf warrior foreign policy will make Russia action today toward the west look tame. The first to go down the toilet is probably the global economy.
