Yes, I really agree with what he said about the date, that 1929 is important, that 2008 is important, as the system changed. This year 2020 is not as important systematically, but since it is just bigger that 2008, which can change society.
It would be very surprising if we do not see the Universal Basic Income in western countries in next couple of years.
What Prof Varoufakis speaks about what happens next in terms of the social contract (a term he did not use but certainty that is at stake here), the post-capitalism world, that is very interesting too, but a lot is possible with this type of societal turmoil.
Generally speaking, people have no interest in this. The host of this podcast, Daniel Denvir, he following along but he doesn't get it.
That makes it difficult to agree and move forward.
