That means they were originally from the nation called Laos. That means they are not pure blooded Laos. Because pure blooded Laos are of the Malayo-Polynesian genotype. Just like some one saying that they are pure blooded Canadian. I am Canadian but I am definitely not pure blooded Canadian because there is no such thing. But Laos is different, because originally there was a group of people called Lao just like the Thais, the Khmers, and the Viets and they all look like the Malays.
