so I am not surprised if there is a delay or if the actual schedule was in fact supposed to be longer than we watchers anticipated. Now, the curious thing is that the US report to Congress is now saying the latest 094 have JL-3. This is a surprise to me because I thought JL-3 was still undergoing testing and the newer 094 don't have larger missile tubes or turtleback compared to the earlier ones, so the missile size is exactly the same on all boats. Wasn't the JL-3 supposed to be larger than JL-2 with MIRV and a significantly improved range?
