yep, politics can turn every thing ugly, and like it or not, each of us actually have some racist tendency, it just depend on how deep we bury it within ourselves. Some never surface during their lifetime, they probably don't even know they have it.

I think the Chinese gov is pretty accommodative to foreigners, not just overseas Chinese, who want to live and work in China. I have a friend who live in Guangzhou for the past 20 years, doing export import business, mostly exporting business. But not every one can make a living in China. Competition in China itself is pretty fierce, that's why tens of thousands of Chinese people themselves go to other countries to make a living. There are plenty of Chinese citizens living in Indonesia doing business or working today.
