IIRC he personally knew Osama bin Laden. Remember his famous arms dealer relative back in the 1980s? Didn't Trump later buy his yacht? Khashoggi might have been a spy, at any rate he came from a background where nobody is innocent. If the US can use drones to assasinate its own citizens who were accused of terrorism, I think it IS possible to draw some equivalency here. And as you know, I'm not usually inclined to defend the Saudis in any way.
