possibly get you to Phoenix, AZ or Minneapolis, MN from the SCS; that's less than half of the CONUS. To reach DC you would need about 14,000km range. Or, you could launch from the Yellow Sea, in which case 12,000km would be more than sufficient.

Also, 12m diameter hull will definitely show a small bump. The Ohio class launching the Trident D-5 is 13m diameter and already is showing a small hump.
