chronic illness, it is no worst than the first time getting it. The virus strains still are strong, albeit they dilutes a bit. But it need couple years to mutate and dilute into a much more mild form of virus, which can't do much damage anymore. I think China wants to wait a year or two for the virus to weaken to a  relatively harmless strain.
