to justify that US military training Taiwanese forces is inconsequential just like in Ukraine.  Since Ukraine is a sovereign country, maybe the US military training in Taiwan is not similar then since Taiwan is not sovereign,  Then why China did not protest about it?  How about the violation of the Three Communiques by the US supplying weapons to Taiwan.?  Where was the noise?  A washed out political opportunist on her way out of power, Pelosi's visit is a big deal and warranting tough retaliations?  Pelosi just landed.  Nothing happened.  So now what?  It is a self inflicted faux pas.  This time if nothing happens,  it will embloden the crazy Tsai Ing-Wen to push for outright independence.  It should have been down played since the beginning. Now Pelosi got her wish of energizing the Democrats for the upcoming November mid-election.
