I think I stopped trusting Western mainstream media after the HK riots.  I was actually on the ground in Hong Kong around the time of the 70th PRC anniversary and protests and riots were everywhere. I was there late September to mid October 2019. What I saw with my own eyes and what was reported by the West are totally different.  If the HK protesters were to do the same thing in the US, they would have been shot.  The trucker protesters in Ottawa blocked major routes to protest albeitly ignorantly vaccine restrictions, the reaction form the authority, if it was China or any other non-White governments, it would have been construed as "hiuman right" violations.

So..yea,  I take Western news with a grain of salt. There are other news sources including those from South America, the Middle East, or Southeast Asia.  Southeast Asia is a good source as it has most to lose from this and the SEA countries straddle between the US hegemony and the rising economic power of China.
