Ukraine is almost the poorest country Europe, maybe it is.

Their army has some weapons, but that seems to be it. They got gear, but not much of anything else.

There was a report that the Russians destroyed 17 weapons depots. 17 in the first day of hostilities?

There were only 17?

Maybe, there was just no money. Would Ukraine build a Maginot Line?

Probably no, because they do not got the money, or the money was taken by someone in officialdom.

So did the Ukraine army and military build any defensive fortifications?

Maybe not.

The Russians are coming in slowly and did not send their entire force.

After while, watching Twitter, it seemed more like search and destroy missions.

There was no point for the Ukrainian defenders to mass in one spot, maybe that wast the reasoning. Maybe the Ukrainian defenders scattered everywhere, in smaller cells to wreck havoc again advancing columns.

Then it seems that the Russians, by not sending everyone over the border, is content to play search and destroy at the moment.

This is not a World War 2 battle in Europe.

This is not like charging infantry in the hills of Korea.

This is not a Vietnam battle in the jungle.

This seems more like what we see in African conflicts, where people go around looking for a fight, in this case, just a larger scale of smaller fire-fights.
