Just tell the hindus that their deities with many arms or elephant like trunk nose are actually sanctified humans with birth-defects, and see how they'll react.

--The euros have the greco-roman civilisation to fall back on. The nordic pantheon mythology is a highly visible part of the nordic cultural heritage but it doesn't mean the modern nordics observe it as a religion.

--Confucism was originally one of the philosophies/secular religions in ancient china and it had been thoroughly(excessively though) criticized. Sun yat sen was a christian and chinese seldom make a fuss of his religion. China has several pillars of civilisation.

The same can't be said of the hindus and arabs/pan-arabs(muslims); Disputing their own native religion is an unthinkble act of self-degradation. See how Rushdie was treated by muslims.
