While I invested in crypto myself, I could understand why China did that. The risk is huge, and China probably want to play safe rather than sorry later. If crypto really become acceptable investment in the future, it is still not too late to rejoin. Those in China who really want to invest in crypto still could do it, albeit it will be more complicated and difficult but still possible, and these people probably know what they are in along with the risks.
