Ningbo Nanda Optoelectronics claims it has produced a photoresist that has passed customers test, which means this is ready for production.
Apparently only the Japan sell the photoresist that every fab uses, so this means their monopoly was broken.
The photoresist is the film or layer that goes on top of a semiconductor chip for instance, that coating is need for the etching process.
Like, you know, this is how they make a semiconductor chip they say, they need crap like this. Apparently what I understand that this was a big bottleneck in the Chinese IC industry.
The other big bottleneck, I think is the light source or laser. But that probably is being heavily researched now.
This Trump administration ban on Chinese tech probably will backfire badly during the Biden administration.
Who expected this, this soon? Their company stock is up!
