As of the end of June, China had deployed more than 410,000 5G base stations across the country, and it will roll out 500,000 new ones by the end of 2020, a CAICT report said. As of the end of July, the total number of 5G users in China had surpassed 88 million, accounting for more than 80 percent of the global 5G user base and ranking the country No.1. "The number of 5G base stations in one Chinese city has surpassed the total number of 5G base stations in Europe. That's China's speed!" another remarked. As of Aug 17, Shenzhen has 46,000 5G base station, by the end of the year China will roll out 910,000 5G base station nation wide. Basically China has decided to expedite standalone 5G roll out in light of the US sanction on Huawei on bogus ground by around two years. Not only that Huawei has entered chip fabrication business. This bogus sanction will have consequences and they're going to reap it in two or more years.
