And they pretty much became the image people have on the Chinese.  Just take a look and you tell me. Sorry for sounding like an elitist but I am telling the truth,

When the rest of the Chinese came, it somehow broke the stereotype.  I have known people that refused to believe the Chinese are that capable based on what they have seen in the past.  They came up with reasons such as corruption, money laundering and cheating to justify what they have seen.  I told them to just go to Asia and see it for themselves.  The hardworkingness, the high standards and the pride are all there and many would not immigrate to the West as they woud be treated as 2nd class citizens.  All of my family members refused to immigrate.  They all did very well.  I am the only one because I chose to stay after school because of personal reasons.
