US companies generate almost a trillion US dollar in revenue directly or indirectly from China. Computer chips alone sell in China for almost $100 billion a year. Chinese tourists and students bring in probably $50 billions or more a year except this year. I doubt they want to destory such lucrative market. It is like selling opium to them.  Lobbyist in US control both the Democrats and the Republicant. They are funded by US based companies. The true intenton of US is to slow China techological advance.  So it give US companies an edge abroad and in China for many years to come.

 

Everyone has to eat and feed their family. People in US is no exception.  It is more like a dirty business competition fight rather than a march band of soldiers in battle.
