Not only there is a lot of varied stuff to read, even the comments section tends to be far better than anyone.

As for war with China ...

Americans tend to say that every year.

If China advances in some area, then the Americans starting talking about this topic war with China in a heated way. Always been the case since Chairman Mao. The war may not be right now, but it is coming. They been saying that ad nauseam for decades.

The American elite, too often has a very simplistic view of the world. Such as, we are going to war!

If someone, say like China, does not want a war, backs off one step, does the run around, the Americans sit there helpless, and have no clue how to react.

Case in point, MWC 2019 Barcelona. The US Government sent their biggest delegation ever to the world's biggest telecom convention, all in the goal of derailing and defeating Hauwei 5G being used by the world especially Europe.

Hauwei had the better tech. Hauwei attacked the Americans with a nursery rhyme. "Mirror, mirror, on the wall ..."

That's all it took. That's all it needed.

The largest US Government delegation ever to Mobile World Congress went home empty.

Another case in point, the Koreas. There is an undeniable effort between North and South to reconcile their differences, and move towards the future. That future would included increased economic linkage and vastly decreased military posturing.

What do the Americans do in face of peace being initiated between the Koreas by the Koreans? They kind of sit there, letting and watching it happen. Since the situation is not going to war, they do not know what to do.

So what if Trump and Kim cannot agree to anything. What Kim agrees with Moon is driving this love triangle. Trump could get dumped.
