Who exact is in charge in America? Things are going off rails. A few cheap cents.

1. This is blow to ZTE, but not really a fatal one. Blockbuster video and Zerox stayed around forever when everyone saw the end coming for them. ZTE is a big company, they can change things and stay in business. This will hurt ZTE, but I think it will survive and can still prosper.

2. All American tech exports to China might be cut off. If you were a major Chinese company operating in China, you will not buy American tech for your product. If you do, you will be fired. When you do business, you need reliable suppliers, and the Americans are not reliable. Chinese companies may be forced to self-boycott technological component American products. I cannot see how they cannot do this. Remember what happened to ZTE? This will affect an entire generation of Chinese, maybe more.

3. This is a lose-lose proposition, but guess who loses more? The side who gets closer to zero first, loses more because when you are near zero, you have no negotiation power left. China's economy still growing over 6% and domestic consumption is the biggest driver now. Plus that the supply chains in Asia, will not go anywhere. Unless no one in Asia can invent anything new, then maybe the Americans got everyone by the balls. North East Asia and South East Asia is a 2 billion people market. If Trump hits China like this, then who is next? This is a big gamble on the part of Trump and America.

4. American allies in Asia are in a truly awkward position. If they buy American tech, then ship a finished product to China, will they get penalized now too? America is forcing people to choose. This is unbelievable. China is everyone's biggest trading partner in Asia. Who they going to choose? Their biggest customer who is growing faster than anyone else?

5. Maybe there will be two technological eco-systems one based in America one based in China. With this latest move, that seems like a certainty now.
