just like in every secular nation with moslem majority. In the past the military is the last defence against islamist. But with the collapse of suharto's military dictatorship, that last defence is gone. Now even the military has played the islamist cards to gain more political power, just like suharto did in his last days when he realized his grip on military is weakened. I'm afraid it is only a matter of time before the islamist take over, and that country will break apart because the eastern part is Christian majority. For some reason, the indonesian chinese aren't that interested in converting to islam, and because they are holding significant wealth, they're an obstacle to the islamist in taking over the country.
