)There was a brief 'chini hindi bhai bhai' period in the 50s.

)During the 50s,china had no intention of hegemony xcept securing the borders against anti-commie yanks

Nehru was a complex character,a metaphor would be like a hindu version of a westernised Lee Kwan Yiu ruling 1930s china but without the competence of Lee, He once called himself the last englishman to rule india and fancied brown aryans the sun tanned cousins of white aryans, He died in 1964(of V.D. some claimed) after the 62 defeat a broken man. History could've treated him a lot more generously if he retired during the 50s. The 62 butt scar will last centuries.

)Hindu nationalism was historically due much to reaction against muslim rule in india. Modern hindu nationalism is a product of hindu inferiority complex, immature self-perception and anti-islam sentiment. Anti-chinese sentiment probably played only a small part. One good example is that india detonated its 1st nuke bomb in 1974 but didnt weaponise it until 1989; why? Becos they saw no chinese nuke threat and the weaponisation took place during the 1st BJP rule in india just for the sake of creating superpower india image. As I said, it was the most stupid thing the hindus have ever done, all their previous conventional mil edge over pakistan were gone bcos the paks also soon after went nuke and any war could esculate into a nuke war.

)Basically chinese (Han) nationalism is a more developed and mature thing and the chinese leaders know the situation and where it should head
