You are right and I am sure the PRC will not tolerate any foreign power instigating Taiwanese independence. The PRC today is not the Qing Dynasty of the 19th century. Like I say, as long as Taiwan keeps the status quo and not go for independence, the PRC will not do anything because it is more interested in developing its economy at the present time. Taiwan will be re-united with China sooner or later, I am sure.
