India can never hope to be a superpower as long as it remains shackled by the twin chains of casteism and widespread poverty, both of which will combine to effectively negate India's so-called demographic dividend. India will completely miss the boat of wealth-by-industrialization due to the ever increasing worldwide robotization of industry. Its Great Vain Hope of achieving wealth by growing its service sector instead will also come to naught as long as an entire class of Indians are untouchable and its literacy rate is measured by nothing more than whether or not you can write your own name.
