Upgrade of CV-16 involve replacing four smaller weapon station with two larger munition elevator that can transfer larger weapon such as PL-17 etc. An additional large weapon station is added at the back.

052C has began undergoing upgrade. The APAR radar is obviously under overhaul.

Upgrade of 052C mainly replace the AESA PHAR. Other upgrades are minor, replace YJ-62 with YJ-12, T-730 with T=1130, and the air search radar. With existing VLS for 48 latest HHQ-9, 8 YJ-12 and latest radar, it'll remain a formidable aera air defence ship.
