sound like China has sensed the end of free trade, at least in the west, and since that is the case, might as well milk it and squeeze it till it dry while there is still time, critics can scream all they want, to hell with them

trade is shifting to the global south, but that is also will be unsustainable if China only focusing on export since there will be push back from global south if they only become market for Chinese export. But I think that won't be the case in the long term, China is moving a lot of manufacturing to global south to serve global south market.

we are in new era, a very dangerous one rife with opportunities for China. If China play it right, they can replace the US as center of the world.
