agree with chairman, trump is a populist. He knew that  if he can bring Chinese manufacturers including automotive to the US, that will create a lot of jobs and supporters for him.

biden's policy will not foster the EV industry anytime soon as we can see what happen today. WIthout Chinese competition, the legacy auto backtrack or slow down their EV effort. Tesla alone couldn't kick them out of their comfort zone.

on the other hand, I bet plenty of Chinese EV makers want to take trump's offer, building their factories in the US. But I wonder if that is wise or not. They could always force the Chinese EV makers to sell the companies like they are doing to tiktok now on the national security ground.
