on Mar 12.

Fortunately, the pilot ejected safely.

According to captured video, the Tejas was flying stably with landing gears down when the pilot ejected, prior to crash. There're speculation the pilot pushed the wrong button, so to speak. But consider how Tejas had to scrub its air display shortly after take off in Dubai Air show 2023 due to failure of onboard electronics, technical fault is equally likely. Either a human error or a technical fault.

The Tejas fanboi have been quick to post pix of J-10 crash as if it matter. The problem is there're only 33 serial production Tejas serving in two IAF squadrons in nearly a decade, while there're over 600 various variant J-10 serving in over 30 squadrons in PLAAF for nearly two decades. One crash out of 33 in a decade is equivalent to 40 crash out of 600+ in two decades. Even if we cut some slack by including the 17 prototype, one crash out of 50 is still equivalent to 24 crash out of 600.
