Unlike what happened after 9/11, I would say the US is pretty discipline this time and not allowed itself to be distracted by the Ukraine war or even by the genocide going on in Gaza. Sure, the US sent billions to Ukraine, but that is not distraction yet. The US is still focusing its main attention on China. In fact, the US benefit tremendously from war in Ukraine. The US military industrial complex are getting rich from European arms orders. The US gas companies also profitted from European gas demand. Europe is basically turned into US vassal client. Though I would like to see what happen if Trump win, since he hate sending free money abroad, especially to Ukraine, and he hate the Europe free riding American defense, that must be interesting.
