than their neighbors 150 yrs ago, now the tallest in the world--average male height 184 cm.
I discussed the dutch height b4. http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20200823-why-are-the-dutch-so-tall
" in just 160 years, Dutch men have shot up by 20cm.."
From the height map I posted, '19 yrs old chinese' in 2019 is 9cm taller than '19 yrs old chinese' in 1985 (2.65 cm/decade); but that's height of young men not average male popn height. If a young man was born in 1985 (and also give birth to children who also keep growing by each generation) and die in 2065, the average height of adult chinese male in 2065(assumed median 50 yrs old, born in 2015, 19 yrs old in 2034 or 1.5 decade later than the 19 yrs old bunch in 2019) could be 4(=2.65 x1.5) cm taller than average male height in 2019(of course assume linear growth rate)

Early chinese migration into US was hardly 'selective', mostly chefs or laundry jobs.
