sometime near mid-Sep. CZ-12 is a new rocket for LEO payload of over 10 tons, SSO payload of over 6 tons. It has a height of 60 m, diameter 3.8 m, fairing diameter of 4.2 m or 5.2 m.

The first stage uses 4 YF-100K engines, the same engine to be used in CZ-10, launcher of new manned spacecraft and lunar spacecraft.
The CZ-12 will be launched from the new launch pad for commercial payload and private rockets newly built at Wenchang, Hainan.
The maiden launch will take on the payload of the GW constellation, one of the three Chinese Starlink equivalent from commercial operators. The GW constellation consists of 12,992 satellites divided into two groups. The GW-A59 constellation operate at 500 km LEO. The GW-2 constellation operate at 1145 km LEO.
