but who knows, maybe Modi will be smarter. Frankly, I would love to see China and India to settle their border dispute. There are so much both countries can achieve together. But the most troublesome obstacle is China-Pakistan relationship, China would never abandon Pakistan because of the decades long close relationship, and Pakistan-India territorial dispute is much harder to settle, probably second only to Palestina and Israel conflict. If India is smart, it should compartmentalize the problem, settle the border with China, while leave the Pakistan issue for next generations until there is solution.
