Trump could claim he forced the Chinese to the negotiation table by bullying them with a 60% tariff. The average Trump voter will believe that.
Trump also said how much he like Xi Jinping and he was a great man, but then he says he wants a 60% tariff on Chinese goods and 10% for other people.
He is going both ways with this.
