1)'pride' is a form of stimulant, like a person's daily cup of coffee or booze...fine if it's consumed in moderate amount.But if the 'pride' expression is repeated so frequently, it means it has become addictive pain killer/mental opioid that person can't do without. The reality is just the opposite, that person has little/no real pride but it's too hurting to admit it, so that person just keeps babbling 'pride' this or 'pride' that..

2)That 'pride' deficiency is a reality to the average hindu nationalists and their honchos like Modi know it very well and push that 'pride' thing to their advantage. Demagoguery happen in every country but in india it has become the daily norm.
