the main issue is cost. The hindus burn BS directly as cooking fuel==>fine(..if one ignores the air pollution issue) but converted it to methane & use it as fuel/raw material?
I'm not sure about the cost though it's obviously some kind of PC 'green' motive? How about the industrial waste disposal issue?
