Video shows Toronto 'Barbie' attacking a man and his dog with a plank of wood

Woman in pink arrested after impromptu two-by-four attack

Published Jul 26, 2023

A woman dressed as Barbie was filmed trying to attack a passerby with a plank of wood, while a separate video shows the same woman apparently being arrested for the attack.

In a video that has gone viral since it was posted to Instagram this week, a blonde woman in a short pink dress is seen walking down a Toronto street before picking up a roughly metre-long two-by-four from a construction site and giving it a short swing.

A dog walker turns to look at her, and she starts moving toward the man with the wood held up in front of her. He immediately starts running. The short clip ends as she flings the plank at the man, narrowly missing the dog, who looks equally frightened.

“Best caption wins tickets to Barbie,” the poster, @sashasimicc, wrote, and people immediately chimed in with the likes of “undercover Oppenheimer fan” and “Harley Quinn dressed up as Barbie,” a reference to Margot Robbie playing both characters in film.

A separate tweet from @6ixbuzztv reposts the original video together with another, taken from overhead, that shows what looks to be the same woman facedown on the ground and surrounded by three police officers, with the caption: “they got Barbie.”
