There was no Internet in the age of IBM 360.
In 1972/73, I did a pre-university course on computer science in Britain. The most common computer then was IBM 360 (or 3600, I can't remember). The most advanced was the IBM 7000. There were only 2 IBM 7000s in Britain-- one in the Ministry of Defense and the other in the Computer Centre of the University of London. We were taken to see the one in the UoL. It looked sleek and pretty for a mainframe.
