And in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, people speak Cantonese.  And your dad's friend couldn't even cut it there.  I hope he realizes just how lucky he was being able to live in Hong Kong.

BTW, Hong Kong is my favorite city.  I have travelled to many Asian countries and Hong Kong is on the top of my list.  Probably one of the best city in the world.
