..because we had the tungsten,coal,iron,land etc etc and couldn't defend it-Taiwan is the crux for China for the next decade or less as it allows Japan -and the west-a dominant chess piece of hemming in China to the continent(xiangqi-"crippling the horse"-we don't want war but Japan (look at her moves now!!))and USA-west certainly does and the Russian military debacle has whetted our enemies' appetites against us/BTW in my maternal grandmother's village some Japn soldiers were digging up some purplish rocks to haul away-tungsten?the villagers never even knew what it was yet the enemy did.
