I've read most of the Guadacanal /Solomon Islands accounts by EdwinP.Hoyt etc and many notable historians but not many stories of the usual brutal murder robbery and of course rape by rampaging Jap soldiers-could be that entire small isolated villages were utterly destroyed and all people slaughtered in an isolated unknown island-but this man definitely remembers.Hope they can tell the difference between Chinese,Japanese and Korean-Viet too.
