I have said it before, the US has a tight hold on its "allies" media and politicians. There are many factors, including monetary reasons, but mostly yellow peril mentality. It is tough to change their perceptions. I'm not even sure it is worthed to try. There are Chinese experts in Australia like the sinophile former Australian ambassador to China, John Lander, who have been trying to tell Australians about what this article said, to no avail, that even he admitted that he almost gave up trying, in a podcast. Australia is creating a self fulfilling prophecy of making China, its enemy.
