Inflation may have some effect on China but it is quite self sustaining.  China is the world largest producer of wheat and rice and 2nd largest producer of corn.   It can self develop most items including military and consumer products.  It has enough minerals and natural resources.  It is the largest steel producer accounting for 60% of the world's production. It has proven oil reserves comparable to the US and new pipeline expansions to increase oil imports from Russia.

India on the hand while is a large wheat producer, it is only 60% of Chinese wheat production.  It's rice production is better. Slightly less than China.  Both are not enough to feed its population.  It virtually has no oil reserves.  It's power mostly comes from coal and 10% of it are imported.  It has only 8 anitquated nuclear plants generating 7400 mw.  China has 53 nuclear plants generating 55,000mw with 150 coming.

India had no choice but to align with BRICS countries because these are the countries with the largest amount of resources. Brazil and Russia are also top agricultural countries.  If Argentina joins the fold, we are talking about the largest food producing bloc in the world with power to set policies that affect the whole world in these climate change times.
