In recent years, China's arms exports are growing rapidly, especially for middle Eastern countries, according to SIPRI, compared with 2016-2015, China's arms supply to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates increased by 386% and 169% respectively compared with 2011-2015.

According to state media, China can provide technical services upon request and assist in the development of production lines in the customer's country.
