Out of Africa theory posits that modern humans are descendants of settlers who left Africa 100,000 to 200,000 years ago. This is NOT the same thing as saying that African = "Black". In fact Black Africans evolved from the original African Homo sapiens founder species as much as the populations who left Africa, and we actually have no idea what the original African humans looked like.
